Trust & Safety

Your experience should begin before you even depart: with clear information, trusted partners, secure payment and human support.

Unplugg works to create a reliable environment for travelers, organizers and partners.

The pillars of trust at Unplugg

We want every user to understand what they are booking, who they are traveling with, what is included and how to ask for help.

Vetted partners

Organizers, venues, guides, practitioners and providers may be subject to verification before their offers are published on Unplugg.

Clearer information

We encourage detailed listings: programme, price, inclusions, terms, level, duration, location, options and practical information.

Secure payment

When online payment is available, it is processed through a secure payment solution. Unplugg does not directly store full card details.

Moderated reviews and content

Reviews, photos, descriptions and published content may be reviewed to limit misleading, offensive, fraudulent or irrelevant material.

Data protection

Unplugg collects the information needed to operate the service, manage accounts, requests, bookings and exchanges with partners.

Help when something goes wrong

If difficulties arise, Unplugg can help facilitate communication between the traveler and the relevant provider, within the limits of its role as a platform.

For travelers

Booking a retreat or expedition requires more trust than a standard activity. You need to understand where you are going, what is included, who is organizing the experience, what the terms are and how payment works.

Unplugg works to make this information more accessible, readable and comparable.

Unplugg aims to highlight partners who present their experiences with honesty, professionalism and clarity.

Become a partner

We may request or verify

  • company or organizer information;
  • consistency of the offer presented;
  • quality of photos and descriptions;

Secure payments

When online booking is available, payment is processed through a secure payment solution. Sensitive payment information is not stored directly by Unplugg.

Before confirming a booking, travelers should be able to review the known price elements: base amount, options, any fees, terms and the total applicable to the offer.

For your safety, avoid payments requested outside the Unplugg booking flow, unless this is explicitly stated in the offer terms or confirmed by Unplugg.

What Unplugg cannot guarantee

Unplugg acts as a platform for discovery, connection and booking where available. Retreats, activities, expeditions and services are provided by the organizers or providers listed on each page.

Although we work to improve the quality, clarity and reliability of offers, Unplugg cannot guarantee every operational detail controlled directly by an independent provider.

  • weather conditions;
  • reasonable programme changes;
  • subjective quality of an experience;
  • individual behaviour of other participants;
  • availability of certain third-party services;
  • information updated by an organizer after publication;
  • unforeseen events beyond Unplugg's control.
